DOW The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index is tracked at the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker DJI (NYSE: DJI) and is maintained and reviewed by editors of The Wall Street Journal. The Dow Jones Industrial Average Index is also called the DJIA or informally the Dow Jones or the Dow 30 or simply the Dow Russell 2000 Index Russell indexes have been developed by the Frank Russell Company and the New York Futures Exchange (NYFE), to measure U.S. market segments and were introduced to the market in1984. The S&P 500 The S&P 500 index is one of the most tracked indexes in the world and it consists of 500 Large-Cap publicly traded corporations.
