Celestial Event: Jupiter/Pluto Conjunction
Every 13 years the planet of luck and opportunity (Jupiter) meets up with the planet of power and transformation (Pluto), giving each of us the opportunity to be transformed in some way.
What is the Zodiac?
Before looking at what the zodiac is, it is important first to understand what the ecliptic is. If you were to imagine what you see when you look up into the sky, and if you tracked the apparent movement of the Sun through it, this is what is meant when the word ecliptic is used. Put simply it means the apparent pathway of the Sun through the sky as viewed from earth.
Pluto moves into Capricorn...
This (used to be) planet takes about 248 years to orbit the Sun and is only 2/3rds the size of our Moon—but it certainly packs a punch! Pluto changes signs from Sagittarius into Capricorn this year. (I still refer to Pluto as a planet—old habits die hard!)
