Can you abuse your mailing list? The short answer is yes, but let’s examine how and why this happens. We have all seen those “signup for my mailing list to receive a free bonus” gimmicks, while it sounds nice and inviting it is probably one of the worst things you can do. Before you get your panties in a wad let me explain why I said that. It’s not that the idea is bad, in all reality it is a nice idea everyone loves something for free – if it is truly free. Notice that “if” I placed in that last sentence? Here is why I put that there. People are naturally susceptible to free offerings; they are also unforgiving if they feel used. Let’s break this down.
