Where Are You Going To Put Your Vending Machines?
By: Robert Farnham

Too many vending machine businesses turn into a disaster for the owners from the very start. While they may have excellent machines and be more than willing to work hard, they are missing a key element - quality vending machine locations. If you don't want to have them reposed or end up in storage then you really need to pay attention to this information.

You can probably think of some good vending machine locations off the top of your head - schools, public buildings, outside of sports fields, and in front of stores. The problem though is everyone else in the vending machine business has thought of those locations as well. In fact, chances are there are already vending machines in place at all of those locations that you just thought of off the top of your head.

If consumers aren't going to frequent the location where you have your vending machines then your efforts will be useless. You will need to pay attention to where people go and what activities they engage in. This way there can be your vending machines in place for them to walk by and make a purchase from.

I am telling you to prevent you from suffering the loss like so many others have to avoid working with so called vending machine brokers. You may think you don't have to search for your own locations because you can pay them to take care of it for you. The truth is that they will offer you a deal that they don't follow through on. These vending machine brokers are scammers looking to make money off of innocent people trying to get their own vending machine business started.

If you aren't willing to get out there and find quality vending machine locations on your own then you don't need to waste any more time or money thinking about this type of business. It just won't be a success for you and that will leave you broke and disappointed. You can ask other people where they would like to see vending machines though as this information can be very helpful.

Get comfortable in your car and head out for several hours each day to evaluate the possible vending machine locations you have come up with. You will want to see how much foot traffic the area gets in a set period of time. Write down all of the information so that you can review it later. For the best results you will need to visit each location several times. Do so on different days, and at various times so you get a realistic idea of how many people will be walking by it

You will want to visit each site at least five different times. Choose different time of the day and night as well as different days of the week. Keep track of how many people would be walking by that particular vending machine location. It is a good idea to track the information by age group as well. Should you decide to install a vending machine there you will want to stock it with items that people in the various age groups will find appealing.

Now that you have gotten this far in your efforts, don't blow the deal by not being prepared when you speak with the owner of the property. Practice your proposal so you are able to confidently explain to them what having a vending machine in that location can offer them. It is a good idea to crunch numbers before you approach them so you can offer a good deal that is still going to be profitable for you. That way you have enough earnings to do the process all over again and continue to grow your prosperous vending machine business.
