You were driving that old car for a lot of years when it finally gave up on you. You must now ask yourself: "Should I buy a used car again or buy a new car?" You can't decide what to do. Many times over you have heard both sides of the story. Some people will tell you it's best to hang on to your old one and have it repaired, others will tell you it is way better to buy a new vehicle and save on repairs. But what's involved into buying a new car? What is the procedure?

Though it might look easy to go buy a new car, a lot of people have no idea what they are doing and they end up giving away too much money for too little of a car. There are many good trucks and cars on the market, but rarely are any of them worth the asking price. Even when you add in special features and the like, there is still room for negotiation but most individuals won't bargain. There are some that know they are spending too much, but they don't believe they can bargain, or they are afraid they might loose the car if they do. That will never occur, but of course there are limits.

Anyone who has gone shopping for a new car knows that the salesman appear to be greatly interested in getting you to buy the car without asking a lot of questions, and also, without having a chance to change your mind. This is called a high pressure sales technique, a common practice, and a wise person will walk away from a dealership if this is what they get when they start to look at any car. There are always other places to buy a new car or a new truck and there are salespeople who will let the car sell itself.

Most person also think that they truly don't need to be accompanied with someone when they look for a new car or a new truck. Although most times there will be absolutely nothing wrong, it doesn't hurts to have a mechanic with you when you want to buy a new car or any kind of motor vehicle for that matter. Not everybody can do that, or know a mechanic, so take a test drive to the closest mechanic and see if they will check it over for you. It should not take too long, and shouldn't cost that much money. In most cases the new car will be in very good condition, but some dealers try to sell a slightly used car as new, and even though that is exceptional, a experienced mechanic can see it. Can you take the chance?

When it is time to buy a new car always use negotiation, and take someone with you who is good at negotiating if you don't know how or you think you won't be good at it. You surely have a friend who have experienced this challenge and know what to do. This is something that should not be skipped. The prices are inflated, and there is room to move. You can get a better deal when you buy a new car, and the dealership will still make a profit. It's expected and it is foolish not to do it.

If I may so, a little advice to women out there, and I am not trying to be macho man here, but if you are into the market of buying a new car I would like to recommend to take a male friend with you. I know I can hear the real feminist woman from across the room... (put her on pause). The motor vehicles are a men's world for many and bringing alone a male friend with you might just keep the dealer in check and not try to fool you. Just a thought. Having bought myself a few brand new cars for many years, this little advice can go a long way and save you some money. Now if you want, go buy a new automobile and smile!
