This article is the most recent of several such articles based on some amount of web based research I did into possible alternative energy solutions. This article and its cousins can be found at my Water 4 Gas Blog Believe it or not, Fred Flintstone was dead on with his foot powered automobile!!! Yep, this is a major conclusion of my research! The cave man’s only error is that as an animated cartoon character he was he didn’t “think” on a big enough scale! Folks are beginning to discover that a significant natural resource for alternative energy is human effort and it can be done without slave labor camps! Just by doing what we are already doing but by being somewhat more intelligent about itas regards capturing and recycling of energy we can supply power to large cities! So it appears that ol’ Fred was more intelligent than he appeared! Well, this is one place where my research took me. I have written other pieces. My original mission is to enlighten people about the wealth of alternative energy data at my Water 4 Gas that educates you how to convert your gas powered car engine into partial combination or total water-based hydrogen burning system. But in that activity I have become so intrigued with the genius of alternative energy that I wanted to help get the word out about some of the interesting data I have come across with you also. Some approaches include the dance floor in a club that generates electrical energy from the movements of the dancers on the dance floor to shoes that generate electricity by converting friction from simply walking into electricity. One shoe prototype can generate about six watts, which would be more than sufficient to keep you from having to recharge your cell phone battery. Besides Fred Flintstone, another icon of the 1960s was Maxwell Smart’s shoe phone on the Get Smart television. This is a new angle on a shoe phone! Recycling human activity into an electrical energy source has a long, strange history (no, not talking about Fred again lol). The first telephones, in the 1800s, had hand cranks that generated an electrical current to alert the operator when one was placing a. Flashlights that operate by hand crank have been available for a long time. So have hand-crank portable radios. But unlike these predecessors, quite a few of the new approaches stress capturing energy that is a byproduct of routine human activities, such as exercising, dancing and walking. Scientists give the name such devices "parasitic" generators. Many of the most futuristic projects center their attention on recapturing the energy of crowds. It’s as if someone was watching the Mardi Gras or a World Series game or a Bruce Springsteen concert and said…”man! If we could somehow… harness that energy!” Human power might possibly have more practical practicality as source of energy in developing parts of the world or in isolated environments where there is no electricity available. The Defense Department Of The United States has spent millions of dollars in the past decade on research into what they call "heel strike generators" which can be placed in soldiers' boots and could help reduce the battery equipment they need to carry. This is NOT an endorsement Larry Rome, a professor of Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, launched a new venture recently called Lightning Packs which aims to sell backpacks that generate electricity from the jiggling motion of walking (Think about the implications for some Hollywood starlets! ). In a recent test, his prototype was able to produce around fifteen watts of energy from the up-and-down motion of the pack His research on the backpacks was partially funded by the National Institutes of Health, as they were viewing them as a possible solution for carrying refrigerated vaccine supplies in remote areas. I just want to steer some attention in the direction of my main activity while I continue with these happy musings in this particular articles series. WATER4GAS is providing information for a fee which consumers can use at home to create a small gizmo which infuses hydrogen into the gasoline/air mixture that their vehicle runs on. The process makes smaller particles out of the particles that the engine uses as fuel. Therefore the system is able to use much more of the gas. With WATER4GAS you can minimumly expect to improve your MPG by 12%. In reality though many are getting 30-50% improvement or even more. Those particles must have been pretty "blankin'" big in some systems before. But with WATER4GAS they are made consumable so you can improve your MPG. It also helps to lower emissions significantly. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND individuals already and the percentage of happy customers is about 99%! So that's a start!
