Harry Edwards who was one of Britain's most famous and successful healers. His healing ability is comparable with that of John of God in Brazil, and as with John of God, thousands sort his help. The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary used to receive eight to ten thousand letters a week requesting distant healing. Harry Edwards also saw many each week for contact healing.
In 1954 he did a demonstration of healing to 6000 people in the Royal Albert Hall in London.
He worked tirelessly for many years to make spiritual healing acceptable to the general public, the medical profession and government. He wrote in his own magazine, The Spiritual Healer in January 1970, " I think we can safely forecast a much closer liaison with the medical profession and possibly official government recognition of healers as part of the National Health Service." His vision is finally becoming a reality in the UK. We now have

And hospitals. The NFSH has also applied for National Occupational Standards, which would mean Government recognition.
To keep in line with this the NFSH now offers a professional competence based course with a minimum two-year training program. The NFSH has approximately 6000 members and 53 NFSH centers throughout the country. Registered healers and centers are recorded on a database at central office and individuals can email, write or telephone the healer referral service for a healer local to them.
