Just a year ago, Paul Potts sold mobile phones to make a living in a small place in North Europe. That had been a step up from doing shop shelves, which he did before. The future was not looking good to Paul Potts and it looked like the horrific pain he had lived through in his early life at school and the life-threatening injuries he sustained in what could have been a simple fall on his motorcycle in 1999 destroyed Paul Potts’ future. Alas, for Paul Potts is a man with a bright future.
Paul Potts Goes Global
Once the singer was so bankrupt that he was only able to pay for food on credit, now thanks to an incredible opera voice which has earned him an incredibly successful debut CD, he is famous around the globe via the Paul Potts Britain’s Got Talent Audition. Paul Potts just went international, and as if to attest to his Stateside appeal, Paul Potts is now to be invited on Oprah, she too so famous she too now just needs her first name.
He’s has travelled far has our Paul, but he’s still ‘our Paul Potts’, a sweet unassuming young man who really doesn’t seem to see how talented he is.
"It's difficult to even believe now that this is happening to me," he said to a US TV show. "If anybody had told me six months ago that I would be here, I would have told them to get off the funny juice."
The Journey That Almost Didn’t Start
But Paul Potts nearly did not start on his incredible way towards stardom. Mr Potts always sang and he loved it to such an extent that he had even made a couple of shows in small operatic societies. But his fear of being rejected held him back from joining a professional opera career, worried that if he had not made an attempt, in the least he’d never feel the pain of rejection. It wasn’t until May of the past year, finding a website for the "Britain's Got Talent" television show, that Paul Potts managed to defeat his fears. It was the right thing to do. At a whim he opted that he would apply and since the coin landed on heads, Paul Potts’ head has been spinning.
From YouTube to Chart Domination
The difficult judges were wowed by Paul Potts’ rendition of Puccini's aria, "Nessun Dorma". YouTube featured his appearance and he made a whole bunch of stellar shows which made him the main attraction of Britain’s Got Talent. Ever since he’s been working hard on his debut CD ‘One Chance’ Paul Potts CD Album. One decision was all Paul Potts needed to get this CD to the top of the billboard across the globe, so it seems like Mr Potts appeals to more than the judges these days – I believe he’s proud of his achievements. |
