Over a year ago, Paul Potts lived off selling mobile phones to make a living in a little known place in the UK. It had been beat doing store shelves, which he’d done years before. The future was not looking good for Paul Potts and it seemed the terrible bullying he had put up with in his youth at school and the serious injuries he sustained in what seemed like a simple fall riding his motorcycle in 2004 destroyed Paul Potts’ future. Not so, for Paul Potts is a tenor with a future.

Paul Potts Goes Global

Once the singer was so broke that he was forced to purchase food on credit, now thanks to an amazing opera voice which has earned him a very successful debut album, he has fame all over the world through the Paul Potts Britain’s Got Talent Audition. Paul Potts just went global, and as if to attest to his Stateside appeal, Paul Potts will soon to appear on the Oprah TV show, she too so recognized Oprah herself now just needs her first name.

He’s come a long way our Paul has, but he’s still ‘our Paul Potts’, a calm unassuming gentleman who really is not aware how big a star he is.

"It's difficult to even believe now that this is happening to me," he whispered a US interviewer. "If anybody had told me six months ago that I would be here, I would have told them to get off the funny juice."

The Journey That Almost Didn’t Start

But Paul Potts nearly didn’t find his way into this amazing journey to fame. Mr Potts always sang and he liked it so much that he’d even appeared in some shows in regional classical societies. But his fear of rejection held him back from getting on track to a professional operatic career, feeling that if he had not attempted it, at least he would not be kicked away. It only in march of last year, he found a website for the "Britain's Got Talent" talent TV show, that Paul Potts decided to overcome his fear. And what a decision. In a moment of strength he opted that he would apply and since the coin landed on heads, Paul Potts’ life has been spinning.

From YouTube to Chart Domination

The notoriously tough to please judges adored Paul Potts’ show of Puccini's aria, "Nessun Dorma". He became a YouTube star his appearance and he put in a series of wonderful shows which made him the top attraction of Britain’s Got Talent. Since then he’s been working hard on his debut album ‘One Chance’ Paul Potts CD Album. A single opportunity was all Paul Potts required to take his album to the top of the charts in countries around the world, so it seems he attracts more than the show's judges these days – I hope he’s proud of his success.
