Close to one month ago, Paul Potts lived off selling mobile phones to earn a living in a quaint hamlet in South Europe. That was better than stacking shop shelves, which is what he did before. The future was not looking good for Paul Potts and it seemed the terrible pain he’d suffered as a child in school plus the terrible accident he suffered in what seemed like a painless fall on a bicycle in 2001 destroyed Paul Potts’ future. But it was not so, for Paul Potts is a man with a bright future.
Paul Potts Goes Global
There was a time when Paul Potts was so bankrupt that he was forced to pay for food on credit, now thanks to an exceptional opera voice which has given him a hugely powerful debut single, he has fame around the globe through the Paul Potts Britain’s Got Talent Audition. Paul Potts just went global, and to confirm his Stateside appeal, Paul Potts is soon to appear on the famous Oprah show, herself so famous Oprah herself today only is known with her first name.
He’s come a long way our Paul, but is still ‘our Paul Potts’, a sweet unassuming young man who really does not understand how big a star he is.
"It's difficult to even believe now that this is happening to me," he told a US TV show. "If anybody had told me six months ago that I would be here, I would have told them to get off the funny juice."
The Journey That Almost Didn’t Start
But Paul Potts almost didn’t begin this amazing path into where he is now. Mr Potts always sang and he worshipped it so much that he’d even made a few performances in small classical societies. But a fear of being rejected slowed him down from reaching a professional operatic career, worried that if he had not made an attempt, at least he would not feel the pain of rejection. It only in April of this term, he found a site for the "Britain's Got Talent" talent TV show, that Paul Potts managed to overcome his fear. And what a decision. At a whim he opted that he would make an application and luckily, Paul Potts’ head has been spinning.
From YouTube to Chart Domination
The difficult judges fell in love with Paul Potts’ version of Puccini's aria, "Nessun Dorma". He became a YouTube phenomenon his appearance and he made a whole bunch of stellar performances to become the eventual top contestant of Britain’s Got Talent. Ever since he’s been working hard on his debut album ‘One Chance’ Paul Potts CD Album. One opportunity was all Paul Potts needed to get his album to the pinnacle of the billboard worldwide, so it looks like he catches the ear of more than the show's judges these days – I know he’s pleased of his success. |
