Some see religion or spirituality as something we do on the weekend or special occasions. I believe that the day to day way in which we live our lives is our spiritual path. Every item we purchase and the way we spend our time is creating not only our individual future, but also collective future. Everything that man/woman has except his/her thoughts are grown from the earth. We use our thoughts to imagine, shape and create the world into your reality. By purchasing an item, we are believing in it and collectively creating our reality. Not only are we endorsing the existence of the product itself, but we are supporting its' hidden effects, ecologically, socially and politically. As yourself if the products you buy and the things you support are creating the vision of the future you want. Your first step is to WAKE UP your awareness and realize your personal power through daily actions or inactions and choices. We must realize that we are all one big family on a fragile planet called Mother earth. Every choice and action we take affects millions of people. We must begin to make wise choices that benefit the planet rather than destroy her. We can't do anything about our needs, but we can decide about our wants. We as Americans live better than the Kings and Queens of the past. We need to try to find fulfillment in ways other than consumption of meaningless possessions that are bad for the environment. Make it a part of your daily spiritual worship to question the effect of everything you do and buy. There are many ways we can live in harmony with Mother earth: meditate more, limit consumption, recycle, walk more drive less, make your house energy efficient, eat organic, compost waste, have an open mind an heart, treat others as yourself with love. Remember the first step to a better world begins with each of us taking responsibility for our actions and choices. We can together create a beautiful world for our children and ourselves by consciously following our heart, and seeing life as a spiritual journey.
