Legally binding online Tenancy Agreements

For the landowners, the tenancy agreement permits them to secure certain legal deeds from the tenants. Generally, the tenants will not cause any damage to the property during the course of tenancy and will vacate the premises on time at the end of the tenancy. The written agreement should specify the type of tenancy agreed upon. The landowner has the duty to give you the name and address, even if you do not have an agreement. Your tenancy agreement may be written or verbal. Verbal agreements are as legally binding as written ones.

Virtually, all landowners will give a written agreement. Even if you do not have a written agreement still you have basic rights. For instance, if the owner agrees to the rent you pay for using his property, then, the verbal agreement itself will count as a legal agreement. He cannot grab your basic rights just by not issuing a written agreement. However, if there is any dispute, verbal agreements cannot be enforced easily. So it is advisable to ask your landlord to give a written agreement. Before signing the agreement both the parties must read the document carefully. In case there is any doubt in the document, they can ask the land owner to clarify.

Almost all the landowners make use of the standard tenancy agreements where the basic terms and conditions are set out already.
