However the most important thing you need to consider before installing DIY intruder alarm systems to your home is where you will be locating all the equipment that you have been provided with. So spend some time walking around your home and deciding the best locations for the door and window sensors as well as any motion detectors you are installing. Also look closely at the position where you will be placing the control panel and the keypad for arming/disarming the system as you come and go from your property.
