Heroes is quite an amazing show...season one captured my attention and just about made me cry when I got to the finale and realized there were no more episodes that season. Luckily Season 2 came, and it's every bit as awesome as the first! Miss the premiere? No problem, here's a synopsis!
Entitled "Four Months Later," Season 2's first episode starts with Mohinder Suresh traveling the country lecturing on a deadly virus with potential to devastate the population when he is met by "Bob," a Company operative who offers him help in finding a cure for the virus if he'll join their efforts.
Claire and her family are being towed around the country by her father in an attempt to stay out of sight of the Company, and they finally alight in a new town for a fresh, inconspicuous start. The plan is to keep out of the spotlight and be anonymous, but that gets rather difficult when another classmate with his own secret realizes that there's something different about Claire and begins to take interest.
Officer Parkman and Dr. Suresh have decided to take in Molly and give her a real home, but things are far from relaxed. Molly is consistently having worse and worse nightmares about "The Nightmare Man," and Parkman has his hands full in a police investigation regarding some death threats against Kaito Nakamura and Angela Petrelli.
With Peter missing after the explosion, Nathan Petrelli is convinced that his brother is alive somewhere. Haunted by guilt and dark visions, Nathan has pushed everyone away, drank himself into a slump and seriously needs a shave. Peter is indeed alive...but we find him handcuffed in a shipping container in Ireland, with no memories of who he is or what he can do.
Back in 17th Century Japan, Hiro finds himself in the middle of his most cherished story: the days of Takezo Kensei! However, the legendary Japanese hero isn't quite what you'd expect, and Hiro has his hands full figuring out how to deal with this latest surprise.
Back in the present, we're introduced to a brother and sister pair of new characters, Maya and Alejandro. Maya has an uncontrolled ability that causes everyone around her to strangle and die whenever she gets stressed or really upset, and Alejandro's the only one who can balance her out and reverse the effects. After her ability apparently killed someone, the two of them are fleeing to America to find Dr. Suresh in hopes of a cure.
This first episode is jam-packed with action and storyline, and would be a really hard one to miss. We can be absolutely positive that Heroes is keeping in the tradition of the first season, with wrenching cliffhangers and edge-of-your-seat wonders to make your jaw drop. |
