The most important first thing to keep in mind is that it took nine months for you to gain weight, losing it over night is not doable. yes we all wish it was, but the very important thing to keep in mind is to shed weight the healthy ways!

The very important thing is that both of yours (baby and your) health is well and the weight will come off. If you are breast feeding, you have to take a great care with any diets. Actually, the only way you can try to lose weight is do not eat junk food and instead replace it with fruits and vegetables. If you are breastfeeding, and are deciding to go on any diet, it is necessary to talk to nutritional specialist because you need to make sure both you and your baby are getting enough nutrition.

I was advised to start exercising 2 months after I had my second child. But I pushed too fast and my joints were hurting, so take it slow! Second, pump in as much of nutrition into your body, because your body still needs to recover. It normally takes around 9 months to a year for complete recuperation. Personally, in my third month after the delivery, I was losing a lot of hair, so balanced nutrition is a must. Do not put your health in danger, because of few extra pound. Most likely will come off!

When you recuperate enough, I suggest you avoid any extreme diets. Staying hungry will actually make you lose less weight, because your metabolism slows down enormously when you are starving. In addition, it burns less calories. In addition your energy level will go down, and you need the energy to take care of your baby. What you need to find out is which food is healthy to eat, that actually burns more calories. In the mean time you have to learn which foods to avoid. If it is a low fat, it does not mean it is not fattening.
