Within a few months of surfing the Internet your computer can become filled with cookies and temporary files. Usually people aren't aware they even exist. Removing old cookies and other files can dramatically improve your PC's Internet browsing ability. Most websites usually pop up alot faster too. Often deleting these files with IE is simple. At the top of the IE's window you should find the word, Tools. Click Tools and you should get a pop up menu. Find Internet Options and click it. A window should open with several tabs located at the top of it. Select the General tab located on the far left. In the middle of this you should see some buttons labeled, Delete Cookies, Delete Files, and Settings. Selecting Delete Cookies should ask if you want to remove the cookies, click yes will actually delete them. Temporary Internet Files like images and other things are also stored on your computer. Clicking Delete Files will remove these as well. If you would prefer an automatic system, simply click Settings. From here you can Adjust how often pages are checked, and how much space these files can actually take. In closing, keeping your cookies and temporary Internet files under control can dramatically improve your Internet surfing. Most of the time setting these settings properly can keep your computer up to speed fairly easy.
