By: Jeremy Liner

The PSP from Sony is a wonder toy. It not only entertains you with games but it also provides you with perfect entertainment like you watch movies and videos in it, listen to your favorite music and many other things. I was shocked when I found that most of my friends who owned a PSP used it for nothing other than games. They had no idea about the free downloads that was available for their wonder toy on the internet.

Today people are soon catching up on most of the aspects of their PSP machine. And this has lead to the formation of many forums regarding the PSP. Most of the people usually try to find out how to load videos and movies onto their PSP. I think this article should help you do just this, without the help of anyone.

If you want to load any particular file onto your PSP the first thing you need to look is the memory-stick of the PSP.A memory stick of 512MB is commonly need to load, but it is always suggestible that you go in for a 1GB or 2GB memory sticks because some of the videos or movies may need more space i.e. more than 512MB.Some of the sites like EBay and Amazon quite often offer many deals onto the memory sticks.

1. Connect the PSP device fully. Then connect it to your computer using a USB cable and this should be done with the PSP turned off. PSP's usually come with USB cables but in case you don't have one that is not a problem. They are quite cheap and can be easily found at a local computer store or on online stores.

2. Now turn the PSP on, look for Settings menu and press X. This would connect the PSP to the PC. Now an additional drive will appear on your PC, the PSP memory.

3. Open the memory card on the PSP and search a folder PSP and inside it create a new folder named MP_ROOT. And in the MP_ROOT you create another folder called 100mnv01 folder. And then you're ready to watch the movie.

And movies always should be in the format of Mp4 on the PSP. And if they are not in the format of Mp4 then convert those files to Mp4 format before loading it on your PSP, using video or movie converter software. If you don't have these converters then don't get worried there are lot of sites where in you can get these softwares.
