“Is There Anybody Alive Out There?” One Heck Of A Good Question
By: GARKO

Rock Star Bruce Springsteen was just awarded the grammy for best rock song of 2007 with his rocker “Radio Nowhere” which features the lyric “Is there anybody alive out there?” This is a question that Bruce Springsteen has been asking in his live performances and such since the early 1990s. I guess that he was seeing that, outside of his performances where people are still very lively, people appeared to have lost their soul. Must be especially difficult to be as dynamic, creative and alive as Springsteen and observe folks who are walking like zombies with vacant gazes in their eyes which any of us can see if we go any place where a lot of people hang out.
So I thought I might consider this interesting question in the context of the price of gasoline and other evils that most of us simply ignore.

In recent weeks, some media broadcasted a video of a woman in Arizona who was “raped without penetration” by male cops. Those were her words to describe how she felt. Cops showed up at her home she was the victim who called for police help and ended up being arrested, stripped and abandoned absolutely naked in a tiny cell with nothing to put on but toilet paper. You can see in the video that cops are ignoring that she is screaming to be left alone.

Where was the outcry on this? How come you never heard about this until just now? How far down the dwindling spiral have we come as a nation where such an atrocity receives no attention and no outcry whatsoever?
And if people can’t get outraged over something so outrageous like that, it will be hard to get them to action about fuel prices. Except for one factor… it hits them right where it hurts… the the bank account balance!
As with any bad situation in society, if folks join forces and take action positive change can still be brought about.
As regards gas prices the best solution is to drop out completely. No, I am not recommending to walk and ride your bike to work like they do in Japan. I am saying that you can convert your fuel engine to hydrogen and never need to buy another gallon of fuel again. Even if you only convert to a hybrid you will be saving up to 35% on fuel consumption, possibly more.
Also you will be helping your vehicle to perform better, also you will be doiong something effective to bring about cleaner air for all of us to live in and you will experience the reward of knowing that you are active in a revolution against the auto makers and the oil industry and you can say that with regards to the price of fuel … “we ain’t buyin’ it anymore”
